1. CLOTHING ROOM:  Our free clothing room in Forest Lawn (2620-40 St. SE) is open to ALL community families. Everyone is welcome to take what they like, regardless of whether their kids are registered at one of our centres! Just come to the door between 2:30 and 5:30 Monday to Thursday, or noon to 5:00 on Friday. We keep bags in the room for your shopping!

2. REGISTRATION IS OPEN AND IS ONGOING:  Please ensure you register your kids (it is required each year) and let others know about YCC, we have space for more kids!

Registration is open to kids who are aged 9 and up. We do make exceptions for some 8-year-olds. The exception made for 8-year-old kids is for those whom we know can follow the rules, can participate without difficulty in the programs and have the support of their parents in ensuring that they are comfortable, and can be with the older kids without requiring an adult to work one on one with them.

Registration form is attached. Please feel free to share this newsletter with other families who may be interested in our programming for their kids.

3. TEACHERS STRIKE:  For now, YCC Ogden and Forest Lawn will open at the same times as always during the teachers’ strike. If we find volunteers/staff  to help us open earlier during this challenging time, we will add hours to our operations at the centres. If you are able to help out, and have police clearances, please let us know!  For now, please continue to send your kids at 2:30 Monday to Thursday and at noon on Fridays! Stay tuned on changes to the schedule!
