Doug has enjoyed a wide variety of careers from post-secondary educational instruction to sales management to pastoral ministry to retreat facilitation and spiritual direction. He has been involved in governance with youth centres for over 25 years, during the past 10 years working with Jane Wachowich and most recently collaborating with Jane in planning and establishing  YCC – Youth Centres of Calgary. Doug is married with three children, two daughters-in-law and four grandchildren. He enjoys spending time in Canada’s great outdoors.
