| Alishah serves as the Director of Assurance and Advisory at Mount Royal University, where she reports functionally to the Audit and Risk Committee. A Chartered Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner with over 25 years of distinguished experience in internal audit and investigations, she has successfully spearheaded internal audit departments across the Oil & Gas and Utilities sectors. Alishah is also a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) program and holds the ICD.D designation. Alishah is deeply passionate about cultivating cohesive, high-performing teams focused on driving organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
Complementing her corporate governance expertise, Alishah possesses an extensive track record of non-profit board service. She is currently the Board Treasurer for YCC – Youth Centres of Calgary and a Board Member for the Canadian Immigrant Women’s Association (CIWA), where she also contributes to the Governance Committee. Her leadership history includes serving as President of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (Calgary Chapter) where she remains a Board Advisor, and a Board member for the Grants and Review Board for the Prairies. Dedicated to community enrichment, Alishah actively mentors immigrant women and youth. In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and volunteering as an educator, teaching young children about pluralism and ethics. |
